What's my "but" ?
Copied from Keenan:

Everyone has a "but". Let's pretend you were going to set me up for a date. You're talking to someone about me and you're like, "Phil's a really great guy, but ..."

Examples:
"... he is really passive."
"... he doesn't show his feelings."

(I'm pretty sure I know the major answers for this, but I'm curious how other folks would tell it to someone else.)

Now you finish "Phil's a really great guy, but ..."

I'm pro-cake as long as it's most and doesn't interfere with pie.

When I first saw this, I thought "what a good question....I could post this to my journal, and find out valuable information regarding my flaws" then realized that I might just....not want to know.

Why not? It can be tough to take, but knowing your flaws is pretty useful.

Sometimes, depends on whether it's something you can change or not. I think what might effect me negatively is knowing what a particular friend of mine "really" thought - and thinking of it every time I see that person. Having the input be anonymous would solve that problem, I suppose.

Well, folks can do mine anonymously, but I hope they don't. I put a lot more weight on what some people say, so knowing who said it helps me evaluate. But I also don't mind knowing what my friends really think of me. They wouldn't be my friends if they really hated me.

"...he spends all this time on the Internet worrying about what his friends think about what girls will think about him. It's kind of creepy."
