Incan music
Walking to the bus after work, there were a group of 8 or so men in red shawls playing Incan Quichua (an Andean tribe) music by Nordstrom's.

I love street musicians, if they are any good at all. While I won't give money to panhandlers, I usually give street musicians a buck or two.

And I love buying their C.D.s.

I now own two C.D.s by Quichua Mashis. It's very odd. It sounds like Irish music, sometimes with Spanish sounding lyrics. But very cool.

I remember hearing this at a University Street Fair as a kid and really enjoying it. It's one of my favorite folk styles.

They're still around? I haven't seen them in years. I'll pick up a CD next time I run into them. (Someone swiped my last one when I was always having parties living in Lake City. Grrr..)
