Re: Are you really and EXPEDIA ex-employee??

This blog is not the place for such comments designed to get links to your web site. I don't have anything against you (nor a particular bias for you either), it's just that this is not the proper venue.

Employee??

This message is just for you. You don't need to post it or answer it. I have no intention to bother you. I have nothing against you either or against any EXPEDIA's employee. I never wrote anything offending against EXPEDIA's staff (I already know that they are force to lie). Just against EXPEDIA's policy as a company. I was curious about your last comment "working at Expedia I either had to filter to certain people, censor, or just plain write vaguely. This job is only rarely going to have anything I need to be secretive about. Gonna suck for you guys reading the mundane"
It gave me the impression that EXPEDIA"s employees (like you) had to do things against your own principles. Nothing else.
Sincerely.

Re: Employee??

Not at all.

I had to keep certain things censored because it would be considered inside information by the S.E.C. and would have landed me in jail had I revealed it. In other cases, revealing some of the things I did wouldn't have been illegal, but it would have provided confidential business plans to the competition. Other reasons to keep some issues on the down low included that I managed a group of people and portion of my work involved supervising and evaluating them. I would open myself up to a claim of defamation or libel were any of that to be negative. While I certainly could win in court on such a case (H.R. requires extensive documentation for any actions taken with respect to employees), I don't want to even deal with it in court.

Make more sense?
