Every time I see a news story where the headline suggests a Seattle police officer is injured or killed, I have to check to make sure it isn't Joe. I don't obsess over it, and I don't freak out if I can't tell from the story. I pretty much assume that since the bulk of the family is local the police won't have trouble notifying family if Joe is hurt, so I'll know before the stories hit the papers. But there is that little niggle that makes me check just to make sure.
