My buddy Don got his replaced a few weeks ago, he was at work the next day.

I am glad your Grandfather took the procedure well. It seems to me that he should feel a lot better with his new pacemaker, as now his heart will be working more efficiently. This should also give him more energy.

I was actually worried for you. I lost a grandmother in 2003, and my grandfather is very slowly dying as well.
