I'm going to do this meme, but I'm also planning on some other year-end summary type of entries as well. But I am skipping some questions.
- What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
- Travelled to New Zealand.
- Broke up with someone with whom I am in love.
- Musical theater.
- Became a manager.
- Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Nope. Came closest on the book thing. Resolutions aren't for achieving; they are for setting direction.
- Did anyone close to you give birth?
- Did anyone close to you die?
- What countries did you visit? New Zealand. Had a blast.
- What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003? A girlfriend.
- What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? No dates themselves are remaining etched, though there were lots of significant things I've done.
- What was your biggest achievement of the year? Promotion to development manager and then getting the group back on schedule.
- What was your biggest failure? My continued lack of direction in my love life. This does not mean that my failure is to not have a girlfriend. My failure is my complete and utter lack of any idea where I am going.
- Did you suffer illness or injury?
- What was the best thing you bought? The best things I buy are always for other people. I love being able to provide a bright spot in someone's life.
- Whose behavior merited celebration?
- Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? I won't answer this about people close to me. I'm still appalled though at the lies that Bush makes and directs his employees to make.
- Where did most of your money go? Savings, investments, house, condo, friends.
- What did you get really, really, really excited about?
- What song will always remind you of 2003?
- Compared to this time last year, are you:
- happier or sadder? more social
- thinner or fatter? heavier
- richer or poorer? bring out the gold-diggers
- What do you wish you'd done more of? Date
- What do you wish you'd done less of? Wait
- How will you be spending Christmas?
- Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
- Did you fall in love in 2003?Nope. I was already in love at the start, though I was just becoming aware of it.
- How many one-night stands? Zero. Almost had one though. I'm not as morally upright as people think
- What was your favorite TV program?
- Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
- What was the best book you read? I mix up what I've read recently with older books. So I can't really say.
- What was your greatest musical discovery?
- What did you want and get? The job I've put effort into obtaining for 5 years.
- What did you want and not get? Girlfriend. Sex.
- What was your favorite film of this year? This will be something I write about later.
- What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 33. Didn't do anything on my birthday itself, but did disappear into the woods shortly thereafter. While I appreciate an effort made for my birthday, I would prefer it not be big and public.
- What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Requited love.
- How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
- What kept you sane? I haven't been in danger of insanity for over a decade.
- Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
- What political issue stirred you the most? Which one didn't, is the better question. I follow everything.
- Who did you miss? I still miss Matt.
- Who was the best new person you met? I met a lot of people this year. Hard to say as I am fuzzy on who I met this year and who I met previously.
- Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003: Ask for what you want.
- Quote a song that sums up your year:
