I'm going to do this meme, but I'm also planning on some other year-end summary type of entries as well. But I am skipping some questions.

  1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
    • Travelled to New Zealand.
    • Broke up with someone with whom I am in love.
    • Musical theater.
    • Became a manager.
  2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Nope. Came closest on the book thing. Resolutions aren't for achieving; they are for setting direction.
  3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
  4. Did anyone close to you die?
  5. What countries did you visit? New Zealand. Had a blast.
  6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003? A girlfriend.
  7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? No dates themselves are remaining etched, though there were lots of significant things I've done.
  8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Promotion to development manager and then getting the group back on schedule.
  9. What was your biggest failure? My continued lack of direction in my love life. This does not mean that my failure is to not have a girlfriend. My failure is my complete and utter lack of any idea where I am going.
  10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
  11. What was the best thing you bought? The best things I buy are always for other people. I love being able to provide a bright spot in someone's life.
  12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
  13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? I won't answer this about people close to me. I'm still appalled though at the lies that Bush makes and directs his employees to make.
  14. Where did most of your money go? Savings, investments, house, condo, friends.
  15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
  16. What song will always remind you of 2003?
  17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
    1. happier or sadder? more social
    2. thinner or fatter? heavier
    3. richer or poorer? bring out the gold-diggers
  18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Date
  19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Wait
  20. How will you be spending Christmas?
  21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
  22. Did you fall in love in 2003?Nope. I was already in love at the start, though I was just becoming aware of it.
  23. How many one-night stands? Zero. Almost had one though. I'm not as morally upright as people think
  24. What was your favorite TV program?
  25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
  26. What was the best book you read? I mix up what I've read recently with older books. So I can't really say.
  27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
  28. What did you want and get? The job I've put effort into obtaining for 5 years.
  29. What did you want and not get? Girlfriend. Sex.
  30. What was your favorite film of this year? This will be something I write about later.
  31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 33. Didn't do anything on my birthday itself, but did disappear into the woods shortly thereafter. While I appreciate an effort made for my birthday, I would prefer it not be big and public.
  32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Requited love.
  33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
  34. What kept you sane? I haven't been in danger of insanity for over a decade.
  35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
  36. What political issue stirred you the most? Which one didn't, is the better question. I follow everything.
  37. Who did you miss? I still miss Matt.
  38. Who was the best new person you met? I met a lot of people this year. Hard to say as I am fuzzy on who I met this year and who I met previously.
  39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003: Ask for what you want.
  40. Quote a song that sums up your year:
