The Women's United Soccer Association, a professional sports league for women's soccer, folded yesterday. Well, almost but not quite folded. Unless they get about $20 million in sponsorships for the league, it's shutting down. I think it's a shame. I never could find their games on TV and I never got to see a game in person. It's especially a shame because, unlike men's soccer, the women from the US are a world soccer powerhouse.
I'm not as much into basketball, but I should probably go to a few Seattle Storm games next year just to support the team. Even though I would have preferred to see the ABL Seattle Reign because the ABL wasn't part of the NBA. That league shut down before I moved back to Seattle.
