At work

I am at work. Figured if I went home and tried to take a nap, I wouldn't actually wake up before my shift starts at 3 a.m. So I headed in early, and I'm cranking the streaming KEXP. I may lean back and fall asleep in my chair. But that's okay since if I'm needed someone will wake me up.

Also, I owe hellomoto13 and apology. I said I would show up Thursday night and I flaked. I realize you may be a bit irritated at my flakiness. Next time I'll put a reminder up on my door so I don't forget. I hope I did not put you out too much.

Sweeney Todd

I saw Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street tonight at the 5th Avenue Theatre. Musicals are kind of hit and miss for me. A lot of the 5th Ave musicals lately have merely taken pop or rock music, converted it to a Broadway sound, and woven into it some love story or come-from-behind tale of overcoming the odds. This year's entrant in that genre is a musical version of The Wedding Singer. (Anyone interested in those tickets? I got two I need to unload.)

Anyway, Sweeney Todd is a Steven Sondheim musical about revenge. The 5th Ave made it somewhat bawdy as well. I really liked it. It was fun and different. There just aren't enough musical pieces about cannibalism. Not even Rocky has a song about the cannibalism.

Two more hours

I am likely here for two more hours. I've dozed a few minutes here and there, but overall I've been up since 6:30 a.m. yesterday. My cold that won't go away has reared its head though. It's in the form of a dry cough.

No major issues. A couple forays into forensic source code control system discovery to track down phantoms.

I'm hoping with the switch to my new job, that this will be the last time I need to work a release.

Loser's Lunch

I am working this weekend. Loser's Lunch will go on as usual at 12:30 p.m. at Mae's Cafe on 65th and Phinney. However, due to work Jason will be doing all the head counting and reserving and stuff like that. I have to juggle my attendance with work.

Those who will be coming, respond here, or in mrsloane after he posts it.

Stuck home

I can't go anywhere. Need to monitor work events. Normally, when I don't go out, I'm still doing something with friends. Not this time. I feel very disconnected.
