Seattle Mariners defeat Philadelphia Phillies

Had three tickets to the game today. Plan was to leave work at 4:30 p.m., pick up Randy in downtown Bellevue, then meet up with Jason in Seattle and go to the game. Only at 3:15 Jason told me he was bailing. I tried a couple of people but no one to take the remaining ticket before I had to leave.

The game started off slow, but the last 5½ innings went quickly. Mariners won. Not a particularly interesting or suspenseful game. No great pitching or batting. Some truly awful baserunning by the Mariners though. I'll say this again too: we shoulda traded Boone for prospects several years ago when his value was high. I said it then. Now I can say I told you so.
