I swear I'm not a hypochondriac. But I feel like one for all the ailments lately. Foot. Back. Arm. Shoulder. And this morning my equilibrium is suspect. Off and on the room is vaguely spinning. I'm not working this morning because I have a doctor's appointment today. Not related to any of the ailments described.
High cholesterol. Need to start strength training. Other than that I have a clean bill of health from the doctor.
I know you were all waiting to hear the results.
I used my car yesterday to haul stuff. Specifically, Erin needed to get a guton mattress. SOme guy on crag's list had one. So I volunteered to drive her over and bring it back if she bought it. Turned out to be smaller than advertised, but she bought it anyway (she's now selling the old frame, talk to her if you want that).
The futon was too long to fit in my car, but we knew that. Figured we'd stuff it in and tie down the door. Only thing was, there really wasn't anything on the door to which I could attach a rope. Except the rear windshield wiper. Luckily, the post for that was pretty solid. We had to take the futon apart a bit more than we wanted to in order to get it stuff in, due to the thickness of the matress. And then I was careful on the drive back to avoid bumping up and down, as I didn't know how sturdy the windshield wiper post was.
This is why I bought the station wagon. Not that I'm hauling crap for all of ya, but being able to pack more than a small camera into the car was a requirement. I had to have Jason cart my bike up to a cycle shop to get it fixed last year, cause I couldn't get it into my vehicle.
On the way home form work, I listed to a report on the security restrictions in Washington DC for the inauguration. THe fact that a large portion of the city was roped off and people couldn't carry anything larger than a camera into the area just peeves me. Hello???!!! America??!!! Land of liberty and everything! Bush even said so in his speech about a gazillion times. Yet if you want to go through there you have to give up your freedom. Peeves me to no end. I had to turn off the report I got so angry.
Visited my grandparents tonight and had dinner with them. Nice perk of having a working vehicle is I can go visit them more often. They live on Shilshole where bus service is spotty. My grandparents are the coolest. But they are getting older now. My grandfather nods off briefly very frequently now. In the hour I was showing them India photos he nodded off 4 times I think. He's been to the doctor a few times recently because his health isn't doing as well. He starting to get where I worry about him.
He really liked my idea for pie night though, and is willing to help.
