Things that irritate me #782

People who tell others all about the law when they haven't a clue. As in You can't be fired for using sick leave time. Or other such nonsense. I don't have a problem with non-lawyers passing on such information, if they have a clue as to whether or not the statement is actually true.

This is an extension of the phenomenon of people who pass on all sorts of information without having a clue. People who pass on virus warning. People who forward inane apocryphal stories that are false. etc. We all make mistakes. But if you are prone to being stupid, you should stop passing on information people tell you. Of course, no one really believes they are stupid.

Something I've noticed in me is that my level of angst is directly proportional to how much I like someone. Seems a lot of people have the same issue. For instance, I rarely have a problem talking to someone I don't know. But if I am attracted to someone from reading their entries online, or from participating in group conversations, I will have a much harder time approaching that person. On a date with a girl who I like but I think She's nice I have no problem going for a kiss. But a woman I like a lot, instant paralysis.
