Went to see the doctor about the pain in my left foot. I have plantar fasciitis. Basically some kind of tendinitis. Probably caused by my weight gain over the last year he says. So, I need to do a few things. Stay off the foot. Exercise to lose weight. Buy some shoe inserts. Dose up on anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen or naproxen sodium. So, I have a goal now. 170 pounds by my birthday. I weighed 199 today, though I decided to have my last hurrah at Dick's on the way home.
Bought a bicycle today. Pulled the superfeet out of my mountain climbing boots and put them in my regular walking boots. Next is to head to the grocery store and get ibuprofen and cat litter. And probably something for dinner tonight as well. Haven't eaten solid food today. Picked up an Odwalla with lots of vitamins and about 250 calories. Need to figure out what I'm going to make for dinner before I head to the store.
Oh yeah, 14 Carrot Cafe for breakfast tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. Note new time. Since 10 o'clock seems to be a bit too early for people, I'm pushing this out a bit later to see who shows up.
Already the rear derailleur needs adjustment, as it won't shift into the low gears. Unfortunately, the flathead and phillips heads on the allen wrench set he sold me don't actually fit the screws on the device. And the owner's manual doesn't detail the adjustments each screw makes. Time to do some digging on the internet. Wish I knew where I had put my leatherman with every implement known to man. It's somewhere in the apartment.
