I'm pretty decent at pool. Not so good that I win all the time, but good enough that there isn't anyone at the Mercury who can consistently beat me. The best players there I usually play about even with. But that's not the point. Winning isn't the point in pool. Smack talk is. Who can talk the best smack? And I got some good smack talk!

Memory Lapses

So lately I seem to be having a rash of what some call "brain farts." It's where I can't remember something that I really should remember, even when I try. For instance, in a conversation I am having on MSN Messenger right now, I am trying to relate to Janet the kinds of music I have been listening to. ANd I couldn't remember the name of the band with the album Yes that has all the deep bass and sax sounds in it. Did songs like Cur For Pain. And then when I write this, I remember the singer is Billy Conway and I can then do a search to find the band's name is Morphine.

But even with all this information about the band running through my head, I couldn't remember it's name without looking it up. Had a similar problem on Monday when I was out and about with Deborah. I could remember the name of the book, but not the author, even though it's one of my favorite books.

On a couple of occasions I have been talking to someone, and I couldn't remember their name. People I've known for a while.

Don't really know when this started, but it's definitely happening more often than it was 3 or 4 years ago.
