My pool game absolutely sucked tonight. I won 2 out of 4, but I should have lost all of them. So I walked home.
I wanted to be outside where it was quiet. Not really to think. Just to walk. And to be.
I got that some of the way, but there are a lot of cars in Seattle. And once I get to Lake View Blvd the freeway noise is constant.
Somewhere along there I started wishing I hadn't walked home. It wasn't as revitalizing as I thought. One foot in front of the other.
On Lynn, someone whistled at me from a darkened 2nd floor balcony.
Foxy lady! a girl cried. I walked on.
Now, I sit and type this entry. My legs no longer bear me, although I still have my shoes on and thus my feet hurt. I hate shoes. But the muscles in my legs are twitching. Twitch. Twitch. Twitch. It's an odd feeling.
